Grade points used

A+ and A = 4.0, A− = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0, B− = 2.7, C+ = 2.3, C = 2.0, C− = 1.7, D+ = 1.3, D = 1.0, D− = 0.7, F = 0. Courses with zero credits (or pass/fail courses you leave out) don't affect the result.

How is GPA calculated?

Each grade is turned into points (A = 4.0, B = 3.0 …), multiplied by the course's credits, added up and divided by the total credits.

Is A+ worth 4.3?

At some schools, yes. This calculator uses the more common 4.0 cap — check your school's scale.
